In January of 1999, a group of nine children and teens started making unexpected visits to households throughout America. They weren’t there to tell a joke or make a pun, and they weren’t there pretending to be someone or something that they weren’t. They were knocking at doors fulfilling a wish of their leader, Alex Graham. They were there to help Alex share a message of love, hope and compassion. They were nine beautiful children, each fighting some form of cancer. They were reaching out through Alex’s television message, asking for our attention and, not only a change of heart, but a change of mind.
